The scent of Carolina Jasmine is simply intoxicating, and the streets buzz with excitement as locals and visitors begin enjoying restaurant patios, taking horse and carriage rides, and strolling along the waterfront. There is no shortage of fun things to do in Charleston in Spring, and we’ve made a list of a few of our favorites.
Plan a Beach Day
Springtime is one of the best times to explore one of the many nearby beaches. Folly, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, and Kiawah Island are all just minutes from downtown Charleston. Each offers its own personality and charm. Some even allow dogs. Click here for more details about our favorite beach spots.
Explore Waterfront Park
Waterfront Park is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Located in the historic district of Charleston, it features stunning views of the Cooper River and the Charleston Harbor. Plenty of park benches are available to relax and enjoy the views, but we recommend grabbing a blanket and stretching out on the lush green grass under the large shady oak trees. Be sure to get a photo in front of the famous Pineapple Fountain and cool your feet off on a hot day!
